Fact File: Luminbelatz Falcon
Luminbelatz are falcon-like birds that live in the Elemental world - Elenthea - particularly in the vibrant crystal forests. They have all the swiftness of a falcon, but the agility of an owl while manoeuvring through the crystal forests with lethal fluidity.
Males: (shown in picture) Mainly blue with gold highlights
Female: Mainly gold with blue highlights (opposite to the males)
Luminbelatz build delicately constructed, yet deceptively sturdy nests high in the crystal trees of Elenthea's crystal forests, and lay eggs in large clutches. The colour of the eggs can tell you whether a hen chick or a cock chick will hatch - the girls' eggs are gold with blue speckles, and the boy's eggs are blue with gold speckles.
Have a look at the short story "Patience" (Click here for the link), to see an illustration of the Luminbelaz eggs!
Fun fact:
The name of the Luminbelatz bird was created from combining two words: "Luminous", and "Belatz." Belatz is a Basque word that means "Hawk".
